The big band I am with is playing a Woody Herman chart you may be familiar with called Hallelujah Time.I am struggling with the intro particularly with the fast hihat ride mixed with ensemble hits.
Do have any tips for this kind of playing apart from whats is in your Be Bop book on up tempo playing.

Hi John,
I am an aspiring professional drummer and a fan of your playing style. I think you knew my father Richard Catanzaro and my cousins, the Sicola's. If any of that rings a bell, I'd love to ask you a few questions. Hope to hear from you. Thanks John! |
