HELLO, JOHN, I HAVE USED YOUR BOOKS AND CDS FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW TO AUGMENT MY PRACTICE REGIMIN. AFTER 50 YEARS OF PLAYING WITH A 25 YEAR FULL TIME CAREER AS A DRUMMER/PERCUSSIONIST/VOCALIST I STILL MANAGE TO PRACTICE AT LEAST AN HOUR A DAY..AT AGE 63....AND ENJOY PLAYING ALONG TO YOUR MUSIC. JUST LISTENED TO SOME VJO ON YOU TUBE AND WAS AMAZED AT SOME OF THE "MELISMS" I HEARD IN YOUR PLAYING. OF COURSE, YOU DO HAV EYOUR OWN VOICE, BUT MEL'S INFLUENCE IS DISTINCT. I WISH YOU A CONTINUED SUCCESSFUL CAREER AND KEEP THOSE EDUCATIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS COMING. PETE ZITO, 3RD PHILA., PA.

Hi John Firts I would like to thank you for those beautiful Books and DVD. I was working on the Exercise to sing while comping and soloing and I found it a great cnoncept, but now I transcribed a Tune from Tony Williams New Lifetime (Proto-Cosmos) and I saw that there's no "real" Melody sow what would you recommend to sing, or what else...? Thanks, and I hope for more Books/DVD's. Great Job
