Mr. Riley
I must say that what I have heard from you on the Vangaurd albums are beyond words. I was wondering if you have any suggestions for a drummer looking for colleges to play with. my email is goingzanzibar@hotmail.com |

Mr Riley: First of all I would like to thank you for your books, they are really great, I`m a drummer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. My main concern it`s about the ride cymbal jazz pattern articulation . I have been working with your books many years ago and I wanted to know how to name the motions in the standard jazz pattern, not only the down-tap-up technique, in order to give every quarter note the same intensity(accent), thank you very much for your time, best regards, Eloy. |

John: I really apreciate what you've done with your books. They're a Bible for drummers...
The only thing i can say is thanks. |

Hy John! I'm Guillem from Barcelona, thanks a lot for the lesson you gave me on february in NY,and for the book...I always practice your warm up...it works for me!
I want to get an scolrship from the spanish goverment to study with you (do some lessons), do you agree? if you agree it would be necessary to get your conformity ( a sheet of paper with your sign, etc...).
Well...sorry for my english (it's so bad!).
All the best to you. |
